Road safety

ETG assesses the road surface conditions and measures meteorological values. These forecasts allow the natural evolution of the values in question to be evaluated, regardless of whether or not a rain or snow event occurs, and therefore the probability of conditions favourable for ice to form are forecast, measuring the amount of salt spread on the road surface.

The system permits:

• assessment of the road surface conditions
• measurement of the meteorological values
• forecasting states of danger and consequent warning to the users
• optimisation of the winter maintenance work
